School Policies

 

Payment is due at class registration: cash, check, Visa, Mastercard are accepted.

 

Class Size: Minimum 2 Students / Maximum 6 students (class size may vary slightly based on teacher discretion.  If the minimum is not met the class may be placed on hold until the minimum is met.  Students will be contacted at least 24 hours prior to the start of class with the option of rescheduling or having their tuition refunded in full).

 

Group Class Refunds: Refund requests must be made in writing to bonjour@fcpdx.org. There is a 5% non-refundable administration fee.  You must cancel at least 72 hours before the first scheduled class you are registered for is held to receive a refund of the cost of your tuition less the 5% non-refundable fee.  Cancellations made with less than 72 hour notice will only be refunded (less the 5% fee) if the French Community of Portland is able to register another student to take your place prior to the first class. Refunds will not be given after the first class has been held.

 

Private class and semi-private class payments are non-refundable.

 

Private and semi-private classes: please contact bonjour@fcpdx.org no later than 8:30am the day of your scheduled lesson or the full amount of the lesson will be charged. 

 

Late Registrations: Pro-rated class tuition for late registrations may be offered on a case by case basis. Please contact bonjour@fcpdx.org

 

Make-Up sessions for beginning classes: If you are absent from a beginning level group course you may purchase a private one-hour one-on-one tutoring session at a discounted rate of $30 (limit two per term per student).

 

Placement Tests: Students new to the French Community of Portland must test into group classes above the beginning level.  Please e-mail bonjour@fcpdx.org for assessment options.
